Adding product to your cart

ASI6200MM/MC Pro uses Sony’s back-illuminated IMX455 Full Frame format native 16-bit ADC sensor. It has 3.76µm, ultra-low 0.86e readout noise and an innovative breakthrough resulting in zero amp-glow.
External power supplies are needed for all ASI-cooled cameras. We recommend you use a 12V@3A~5A DC adapter (D5.5×2.1mm, center pole positive) or a lithium battery with 11-14V to power the camera. Be aware that using a power supply out of this voltage range will probably lead to irreparable damage to the camera.

Six Unmissable Advantages
Appreciation Work
Exquisite Craftsmanship for a Premium Imaging Experience
1. Meticulous design, uncompromising quality.
The body weighs just 0.7 kg(1.54 lbs), yet delivers outstanding image performance.
2. Zero Amp Glow – worry-free imaging even with long exposures and high gain.
The ASI6200MM/MC Pro features a true “zero amp glow” sensor, delivering exceptionally clean dark frames. Even during long exposures or at high gain settings, astrophotographers can easily capture high-quality images.
3. Anti-dew
ASI6200MC Pro comes with the polyimide heater that can avoid any dew problems.
The anti-dew heater which completely fit the protective window will heat it to avoid any dew problems.
Extraordinary performance captures the beauty of the universe
1. Full Frame format
The ASI6200 Pro camera uses a full-frame format. The outstanding 9576×6388 resolution provided by the onboard Sony IMX455 sensor makes this camera a 61.2-megapixel full frame powerhouse! The sensor length and width are 36mm x 24mm respectively, and the diagonal is 43.3mm. This is a camera with a small pixel size of 3.76um that can accommodate a large well depth of 51.4ke.
2. Native 16bit ADC
ASI6200 Pro camera is our first batch of CMOS astronomy cameras with true 16-bit ADC. It is not a CCD-style 16-bit ADC – it really can achieve a dynamic range output of 14 stops. This significantly improves the image sharpness and contrast, and the contrast gradients are smoother and more natural-looking.
3. Two-stage TEC cooling
Thanks to its two-stage TEC cooling system, the ASI6200 Pro can reduce the CMOS sensor temperature by 30°C–35°C below ambient, significantly lowering dark current and sensor noise even during long exposures.
The ΔT of 35°C is measured at 30℃ ambient temperature.
Practical features for effortless astrophotography
1. USB3.0 & 512M DDR3 Memory
The ASI6200 Pro camera is equipped with a USB 3.0 transmission interface and a built-in 512MB DDR3 cache to ensure stable and secure data transmission.
*ASI Cooled Cameras produced after August 2023 have changed their DDR3 buffer from 256MB to 512MB.
2. Three sets of screws
The sensor is adjusted by three sets of screws, enabling precise calibration. (Each set consists of a push-pull screw pair.)
Camera Performance: Low readout noise, high dynamic range
The ASI6200MM/MC Pro camera has excellent performance with a dynamic range of up to 14 stops that will greatly reduce the issue of overexposed images, and make colour gradients look smoother and more natural-looking.
The innovative design of the ASI6200MM Pro also includes high conversion gain mode (HCG) that automatically kicks in at a gain setting of 100, reducing the amount of read noise while simultaneously preserving the dynamic range during high gain imaging.
QE value
The QE peak value of the ASI6200MC Pro camera is 80%.
The QE peak value of the ASI6200MM Pro camera is 91%.
Ultra-low dark current
The unique dark current suppression technology can further reduce dark current noise. At a cooling temperature of 0°C, the dark current noise is only 0.0017e/s/pix. This means a 300s exposure will only cause a dark current noise of 0.51 e/pix, which is completely negligible!

All of the components worked out of the box. I am capturing some stunning images with it. Very happy with my purchase.
The entire kit is heavy. You will need to ensure your focuser tube can handle the weight. In my case, I had to loosen the focuser brake on my telescope because the EAF was struggling with the new weight.
The OAG-L did not work well for me. My telescope has a 55mm image circle which should pair well with the OAG-L but when using the reducer, things get a little more complicated. The reducer back focus requirement is strict and based on the 48mm connection which diminishes the benefit of the OAG-L and a full-frame camera. I was able to address it using various adapters. The ASI220MM guide camera required the helical focuser all the way out on the OAG-L and then pulled back a bit. I liked the idea of the helical focuser but it really did not help. When reconfiguring to use/remove a reducer on the telescope, you have to adjust again. So, for me the OAG-L did not work out. I ended up going with a ToupTek GS-250 guide scope. All is good.
This is a great camera. You need a telescope with a 50mm or bigger image circle. The OAG-L can work if you have a static imaging train.
